Gilles is joined in the studio by none other than Seun Kuti, the youngest son of the legendary Afrobeat pioneer Fela Kuti. The relationship Gilles and Seun have shared ever since Gilles's Radio 1 reign has extended beyond mentorship – they have remained close friends and collaborators for years.
