Squeaky Lobster a.k.a Laurent Delforge is a Brussels based musician. Born the 1st june 1982 in Brussels, he's actually studying composition since more over 5 years in the composition class of Annette Vandegorne at the Royal Conservatorium of Mons Belgium. Interested in different ways of musical expression, his practical fields of creation moves between pure acousmatic music and instrumental improvisation. Playing with many people in different formations, he's constantly trying to melt those wides influences. Keeping producing and distributing different kind of independent music, he used to play as improviser in many european countries ( France, Spain, Italy, England,...) Since 2002 he's also making the whole sound scores for many belgian short animation movies and he's currently working on a sound design project for the web site of the french sculptor Benoit Polvêche. He seemed recently to enjoy working with a theatre director in Brussels. His acousmatic compositions were played in Brussels, Mons, Arc et Senans, Birmingham, Perugia. He got the second price (the first wasn't delivered to anyone) at the international contest of spatialisation 'espace du son' Brussels 2006. And won, in 2007, the first price of the composition competition of Lisbonne's Festival 'TIME' (Tribune Internationale de Musique Electroacoustique) with his work 'Palympseste sur souvenir'. This 'sound sculpture' was also used for 'Ototoi' a short experimental movie made by the italian director Ugo member of the P-Gruppe Art Commitee.
