"What can be said about Lasse Steen? He was just the man of Acidcore in the 90s - and of Hardcore. Releasing literally hundreds of records on various labels under different aliases, he dominated that sound. He had a wide-varied approach to styles, ranging from 808 minimalized Acid to Darkcore Stompers, Speedcore and even a kind of epic Acid Ambient. Senical was one of his most interesting monikers of choice; creating, usually, a mixture of broken, arrhytmic beats, full on distorted percussion noise and movie-like melodies and atmospherics; incomparable, but in a similar mindset to some Aphex Twin or Somatic Responses tunes, I would say.
