This set has to be at least from 1998, definitely around that time. DJ Sneak and Daft Punk DJed at Industry in 1997 as well.

If this is the gig togehter with Daft Punk, and I highly doubt that, it was on 12, April.

But mosts tracks are from 1998, so this should be from 1998.

I doubt it's from '98 as you can hear some obvious looping in the transition from 'House music' to 'Music sounds better with you'. As far as I know you can loop with turntables with the help of some additional equipment, but that's highly unlikely. CDJs were still in development in the late 90's and weren't used more often during '01/'02. Also most of the tracks are more commonly played by DJ Sneak than Daft Punk.

This was in 2008. I was there, one of the best nights in my life!

":D" = "Dan". First you doubt it was 1998, now you were there?

07:19, 11 March 2011 (CET)
@ Dan. You can do looping with every good mixer.

13:11, 14 March 2011 (CET)
But you couldn't in 1998.

Nah, this isn't the gig with Daft Punk, definitely not. Buffalo Bunch, MSBWY, and The Ghetto didn't come out until 98.

This is actually the set list from the mixtape Mid Season Bud. There is no looping, house music is a long minimal track that allows Sneak to mix in Stardust perfectly. Trust me. This is one of my all time fav mixes. I have spent time in collecting the tracks on that tape. I have most of the B side.

I found an old scene release with this file labeled as DJ Sneak & Daft Punk Live @ Industry Toronto 4-12-1997. Here's what the NFO file says:

Artist: DJ Sneak & Daft Punk

Album: Live @ Industry, Toronto

Year: 1997

Rip Date: Feb 9th 2003

Street Date: April 12th 1997.

Perhaps this is the gig with Daft Punk and DJ Sneak? But I still find it a little hard to believe since some tracks came out in 98 and this gig was in April of 97. But then again they would have access to these tracks...

tickets.linebypass.com/event/74591 : Sneak's Birthday Beats event was started in 1998 at Industry nightclub as a small surprise party for 850 heads. The special Thursday night featured a four turntable set up with Thomas Bangalter of Daft Punk, Derrick Carter, Junior Sanchez, King Britt, Doc Martin and DJ Sneak taking turns smashing the decks.

Any clue about the very last track please? The chill-out one?

2016-03-20 (20:24) (CET)
Last track - possibly something off Nervous Chill?

Neo

Last track might as well be a track from Mark Farina's Mushroom Jazz mixtapes from that time of 1998. Nervous Chill is less likely. It sounds more like a track taken from Mark Farina's downtempo sets or compilations. Any other possible clue about the last one?

Last track might possibly something from Yellow Productions maybe from their chill out compilations of the time? Mushroom Jazz is less likely.
