![]() plugin-container.exe often crashes Firefox when you loaded too many Flash players and / or used the back button. Mozilla recommends to upgrade to the latest Flash vesion, but that doesn't seem to work, at least for me.Instead of downgrading Firefox or upgrading Flash, you can easily disable plugin-container.exe:Go to about:config and set all dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.* preferences to false.More info: kb.mozillazine.org/Plugin-container_... I just rolled back all about:config settings by uninstalling Firefox completely and installing it from scratch. You can use MozBackup for restoring all favorites, addons and browsing history. Just untick "settings" on creating the backup to skip about:config. |

Firefox 9 and it's still buggy. When I'm on a page with a flash player and use the back button, FF freezes and I have to close plugin-container.exe

I used to have these crashes. Haven't had any flash related crashes for some time now. Firefox 3.6.4 was the buggy one, crashed all the time ![]() If it's still crashing for you maybe try installing flash player from scratch. Use revouninstaller to completely remove it and then reinstall. |

I re-installed XP at least once since the top post. Anyway, Windows 7 now. |
