Help:Google +1 Button
From MixesDB
|
You can enable the Google +1 Button for the page icon section in your user preferences (in the "Gadgets" section).
Privacy policy note
By enabling this feature you make use of a so called social plugin ("plugin") named "Google +1 Button" from the social network "Google+" ("Google+" or "Google") (http://plus.google.com), which is operated by Google Inc., 1600 Amphitheatre Parkway, Mountain View, CA 94043, USA ("Google"). This plugin is indicated by the Google +1 Button logo identical to
or similar to these: http://static.mixesdb.com/images/misc/Google_+1_sprite_2.png.
When you have this plugin enabled and access a MixesDB content page, your browser establishes a direct connection with the Google servers. The content of the plugin is transferred by Google directly to your browser, which then integrates it into the website. Integration of the plugin causes Google to receive the information that you have accessed the corresponding page on MixesDB. If you are logged in with your Google+ account (and possibly any other account of the Google services) ("Google account"), it will be able to assign your visit to your Google account.
Please note that an exchange of this information may take place, regardless of whether you interact with the plugin or not. Google may also collect such data anonymously (IP based) if you are not logged in to any Google service.
MixesDB has no control over which data is sent to Google. Most likely Google will gather, save and use ("gather") the following data: information related to your Google account, your IP address, the URL of the visited website, the date of your visit, the browser and operating system you are using and possibly more. To find out which and how much information Google really gathers via the plugin you are advised to read the Google +1 Button privacy policy: http://www.google.com/intl/en/+/policy/+1button.html. If you do not feel informed enough by Google's privacy policy, feel free to contact Google directly.
If you do not want Google to gather data about you via MixesDB or if you think your data privacy is harmed by this plugin, disable it or do not enable it in your user preferences.
