2008-05-10 - Contribution Scores
Contribution Scores lists the top contributors.
2008-04-08 - Go directly to category
The search box: If you enter a category name you know which exists (CaPiTalizAtiOn doesn't matter) and hit return or [Go], it will take you directly to the category page, otherwise it will result in a usual search.
2008-04-06 - Direct file playback
We now added an audio player that will let you playback Sample ID's directly on the page (click speaker):

Nothing changed about imbedding them. It plays uploaded files and external files when it's a direct link.
Compared to the previous version it also feels more logical to click the speaker icon to play the music and to click the link to download ;) See Help:ID Samples for more information.
2008-04-05 - Open external links in new window
If you prefer opening external links 
(all links on MixesDB leading to other websites) in a new tab / window you can either press Ctrl+Click the link or if you generally want it this way; go to your preferences > Gadgets, tick the according checkbox and save.
2008-04-05 - Google this page title
Each mix and category page has a Google icon 
displayed behind the page name. Clicking it will open a new tab / window and search the page title on Google. Mix pages: If you're unhappy with the results, change the search string in the search box (e.g. remove the date). This mainly happens when there are too many words.
Pages whose title doesn't make sense to google are ignored by this feature, e.g. Main Page, the main categories like Artist, the years like 2005. If you find other category pages that should be ignored, pls post a comment in the Help section.
2008-03-30 - Private Messages are back
We brought back the old simple PM system (upper right). Actually we waited for a better solution but didn't found any yet. As you can see all your PM's are still there.
2008-03-26 - Templates for adding regular shows
Under Add A New Mix you can find a list of templates for regular shows. This is for easily adding standard shows which have the same page formatting on each entry. We will add some templates soon. The order of the templates is alphabetically atm, we may group and re-order them soon, although you can jump to the template whe you're coming from the category page. Just try it. 2008-03-18 - New category navigation
You already know the category navigation on the main category pages, such as Category:Artist.
We now added new navigations to full category pages with more than 200 mixes listed. There are 2 types:
- Jump to a year - used on category pages which are no year
- Jump to a month - used on Year category pages
2008-03-16 - New features
WikEd Toolbar
We added a very powerful integrated text editor for editing pages. See the screenshot. If you use a Mozilla browser such as Firefox you can use this on MixesDB.

Comments on Help pages
You can now leave comments on all pages in the help namespace. Btw: It looks like new comments (not first comments) are shown directly now in Firefox.
2008-03-15 - Software upgrade
We upgraded the software so we can add more dynamic features in the future.
Atm we still configure things, later we will explain things more detailed.
New Changes
- Profile pages and uploaded files can only be modified by the according user.
- Toolbox in sidebar
- We defunct the Private Messages system. We look for a more comfortable solution. Still you can stay in touch via E-mail. When you're on a user's profile, check the toolbar in the sidebar > "E-mail this user".
2008-03-12 - New Feature: Mix Page Link Icons
All mix page links now have a tiny icon in front of the link. They indicate in which Tracklist state category the mix page is added:

None. This makes life much easier!
Note: If you don't see them, please go to your user preferences. Under [Skin], choose "MonoBook2".
We also fixed the old problem on the Main Page that when a mix page is moved (renamed) it displayed the old page name and redirected to the new page name (that's why you see some here left without an icon). So from now on it will list the new page name.
